I love learning about other cultures, and particularly the symbolism in others beliefs.
The most surprising thing about it all is realizing how much I have in common with people from seemingly very different beliefs. Many of the same core concepts (love, peace, etc) are shared by all religions, just described with very different words.
Thanks

They are great people and as I am completely convinced of my beliefs it has caused me to examine them more carefully. Being convinced I then become more concerned for the spiritual well being especially of friends. How can I not? If I believe their eternity is in danger and I was not concerned I would not be much of a friend.

You know people tell you humans are all the same in nature, but you really dont grasp it until you see it with your own eyes.
Ive friends from the Christian faith and you have no idea how similar they are to the way my family raised me in Islam. LOL its amazing.
Every little practice, is the same. Apart from believing Jesus is gods son, we have no difference what soever.
I was especially amazed to see how they dont support their daughters going out in skimpy clothes and how a woman should not let a strange man into her house when her husband wasnt at home.
Delightfull and amazingly similar.

In attempting to make a kosher dish for a friend at a party, I learned about what kosher actually means. I still don't accept it's value in my life, but at least don't have any misconceptions about it. And I just don't discuss the issue with her in any sort of debate format - it just doesn't matter to me to push my beliefs on her and she never tries to do so to me.

Their religion doesn't enrich my life, the person they are does. I don't look at people in terms of what religion they are or aren't; I look at them in terms of the human being they are.

we agree that we individually all are a religion of ONE
no one believes exactly the same, therefore we cast aside the need to fight over who is right and who should be destroyed
with that gone, now I have many friends and they enrich my life, still

It hasn't, actually. Religion isn't really brought up in conversations very much.

I respect people of all faiths.
Its muslims and christians who call other sinners, for which I hate them.
I like rest of all faiths.
