The 2008 Sequoia will be built on the same plaform as the 2007 Toyota Tundra, so expect it to be considerably bigger than the current model. Expect it to be in direct competition with the likes of the Ford Excursion, Chevy Tahoe or your average sea-worthy barge. Many auto news sources have actually mentioned that Toyota Executives are worried the trucks actually "too big". Overall sales of the truck have dropped each year for the last 4 as well so Executives are being cautious.

You can expect the public announcement and releases to occur this spring. Sales will most likely start in the fall. Only the Toyota execs know the exact target dates and they most likely want to wait until the Tundra launch goes through before bringing in it's enclosed cousin.
