We need more English ladies over here please. American girls seem so shallow and vain these days. I am officially offering sponsorship. Smart, funny, great cook,athletic,financially secure...... Seriously though, do English men or women find an attraction to a whole country's other half? Maybe it's the accent . Or maybe a latent Elizabeth Hurley crush.I have known some exciting German ladies though....

Terribly sorry if I offended! BRITISH women. And I realize Elizabeth Hurley is a bad example-I've had plenty of beautiful women, it's just that when I've tried to discuss politics, philosophy, art ,etc. I sudddenly feel so...alone :) !

Oh yes! it's also the humor. I have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor which doesn't find audience among the " bodily functions are funny" lot.

I think you'll find that there's plenty of superficial English ladies these days, mate. I go to university with so many of them it makes me quite sick!! I rather like Japanese men myself, went over there a few years back and, Holy Christ, there was some seriously hot totty to be had!!! I'm sure you're a lovely guy and will have no problem finding a decent woman in any country, you just have to get in with a crowd who aren't stupid and superficial (here's a tip, university ain't the place!!) There's some great people in my kung fu class, maybe you should try that!!

English women are confident and often in control. Speaking for myself, and friends, we don't need to be in a relationship, so we're not desperate! Accents are appealling, though I have to say that most American accents, and I understand there are hundreds!, are a little grating to my ear. I love the southern Irish accent, and many european ones, listen to a dutch guy sshpeaking Englisssh, fabulousssh!

Thanks for the compliment, Phil. I think us British women are more down to earth and natural than our American sisters and don't spend so much time in front of the mirror. I must admit I have a sneaky liking for American men, but that is probably because I have watched too many American films with gorgeous American hunks in them!

People are people no matter where they come from I am English and I like to think I am OK but a good friend of mine he married an American girl and I really liked her she was cool so maybe you just need to find some more of us real girls. we are out here believe me

we've got rubbish female tv stars, apart from the newscasters, so the ladiees don't have these glamourous ladies to look up to and take tips from, with due respect to vannessa feltz, jade goody, pat from eastenders they're not paris hilton, bridget hennesay or christina applegate in any shape or form. Saying that your tv shows always seem to encourage young ladies to screw the men for everything they have, whereas over here they show the ladies settling down with their school sweetheart for life. well almost.

gasmanfart...english girls aren't snobby! it's just that americans think the british are snobby because hearing people who speak properly obviously gives them that impression.
in answer to your question, i think english humour (not counting the chavs and scum humour that is) is perhaps more intelligent than american humour (i know that's probably not your case, but i mean in general). but don't be fooled, in order to find a good young english woman you have to look in the right places. the new generations are losing the classy aspect, and i hate to say i'm in this new generation... anyway, thanks on behalf of english girls for the compliment!
