Used to have a '97 Fiesta but it was stolen and burnt last year.
Need a car which would have the following:
5 doors
Alarm (!)
Air Con
No earlier than 2003 registration
Would be happy to spend £1000, +/- £200
It doesn't need to be able to go from one side of the world to the other, just around this area.
Should look smart.
Got as far as an 04 Fiesta or the new Clio.
What can you recommend?

You should be able to get an 03/04 one of those fairly cheap.

Never thought I'd say this, but have you looked at a Skoda Fabia? Cheap to buy, fuel & service. And totally indestructable!

Get me one too then. Seriously you WILL NOT buy 03 cars for that money. I cant even get anywhere near that in the motor trade.
