Go to amazon.com and type in Middle East and a lot should come up.

I have not read it but "From Beirut to Jerusalem" looks interesting. And of course there is "The Middle East for Dummies" which is filled with information.

"The Great War for Civilization" by Robert Fisk

It's long, but so is every other history book on the Mideast, but very good & very accuarate. Especially about the last 25 years.

If you want a honest book on the middle east try not to get one written by an israeli because it will be full of propaganda and lies.

i ought to say bypass a number of those liberal moron books that attempt to intellectualize about a fashion of existence they weren't in any respect portion of or knew a lot about. bypass for the books of authors that grew up Muslim or were contained in the novel islamic international that got here to us of a or switched over out of islam and wrote about the international they lived and knew. for sure those all and multiple seems now on a lack of existence probability list with assistance from this meant "non violent" faith...it truly is portion of the message that they themselves attempt to relay. it isn't non violent. try Reconciliation with assistance from Benazir Bhutto faith of Peace ? with assistance from Robert Spencer contained in the words of the Enemy with assistance from Jed Babbin they should be Stopped with assistance from Brigitte Gabriel contained in the Jihad with assistance from Omar Nasiri cruel and common Punishment with assistance from Nonie Darwish My year interior Radical Islam with assistance from Daveed Gartenstein-Ross And...merely FYI for any ignorant available....NPR is a liberal tainted company that receives authorities sub sidies to proceed to exist. compared to the those that bypass out and change into valuable devoid of loose funds. Oh they could be tremendous for bringing you options on flowers, situations in different factors of the international, etc...yet even as they turn the communication to politics they bypass left and not frequently ever have a truthful and balanced view rooted in reality. merely the tender-feely BS that liberals and the left are common for.
