8 calories. Your body produces energy to warm the water, thereby burning calories, 1 cal. per oz. I didn't know this until just recently when my daughter read it in her science book. Good to know, huh?

i wanted to know that too! i was watching tyra and it said something about this stuff you put in ice water...and it burns around 50 calories. and good news the health expert on there said it was very healthy for you!

I'm not sure, but I so know that drinking ice water instead of regular water is better to boost your metabolism.
