Try rebonding. Hair is permanently straight till you go for a hair cut. The downside is when your new hair comes out curly, it will be curly on top and super straight at the ends.

Absolutly not. The hair originates from a hair follicle in your skin. This follicle determines if your hair will grow straight or curly by it's shape. It is a genetic factor that can't be changed. Hair grows at the rate of 1/2 to 1 inch per month. A person would need a perm almost every 1-2 months to keep their hair straight unless they get their haircut once a month. In that case they would need a perm every month. I have straight hair and needed a perm every six weeks to keep it wavy. Perms take the life out of the hair follicle and can lead to balbness if over used. Perm solutions burn the hair into position ( straight or curly). It's very easy to make curly hair wavy by maintaing it daily. But not possible to take straight hair and make it wavy without a perm. Curly hair has a great advantage over straight hair, so enjoy it and have fun with it while us with straight hair remain envios of curly people.

Yes, it's called "relaxing". I'm not sure if it was just my type of hair/scalp, but I highly DO NOT recommend this procedure. I had it done about four years ago and the chemicals have permanently scarred my scalp so that my hair is half as thick as it used to be. If you do decide to get it done, please make sure that they don't leave the solution on a minute longer than it should be.

I don't think theres a way to get it always straight but there is this at home treatment you can get at al*mart by the shampoos and it leaves your hair straight for 3months. I used it a few months ago and my hairs still pretty straight. Plus use a straightening shampoo and condition.

yes. it's just like getting a curly perm...only it's a straight perm. the only bad thing about it is when it grows out, part of it will be curly(if that's what kind of hair you had originally) and the other will be straight...so it's not a perfect answer...unless you don't mind getting it done evertime your hair grows out.

Temporarily yes. Chemical hair lye. But very tricky to work with.

Yes I think so. 'Relaxing' straightens your hair. Ask at your salon about it.
