How do you make your hair less static?

My hair is always static!! i hate it so much, does anyone know how to prevent it besides for putting water on it??

Prevent static electricity in your hair when you shampoo by applying a rinse out conditioner that adds moisture and shine. Alternatively apply a "leave-in" conditioner after towel drying hair like Phyto's #7 or Phyto #9.

I know that this stuff doesn't smell the greatest, but Static Guard (the stuff they use on clothes) sprayed onto your comb or hair brush will do the trick! Sometimes my little girl gets static in her pony tail at school so I have her carry a downy fabric softener sheet with her to school in her pocket. She will swipe it a few times and problem solved! It will not hurt your hair at all!

I know this sounds weird, but keep some dryer sheets with you wherever you go and if your hair starts to get static-y then you just run the dryer sheets over the static and its gone! This is from one static haired person to another!

hairspray works the best but if you want a simpler way put a drop of facial moisturizer in your hand and dont rub it completely in, so that the moisturizer is still visible on ur palms. then apply all over hair.
