What gimmicky way did you do it.

I taped my pregnancy test to a bib that said "Spit Happens", wrapped it in tissue paper and a gift bag, and gave it to my mother. It took her a few minutes, then she started crying.
She had that thing taped to her kitchen cupboards for months before I pointed out to her that i DID pee on that.. LMAO...

Personally, there was no gimmicky way to do it for me. The announcement of a mixed race child from an unmarried mother is never something that can be gimmicked. However we all survived and the child is marvellous. The urge for grandmotherhood over rode everything else.

But there is an add I saw on tv that is sooo cute I would tell you of it. The couple and the parents go to their traditional hamburger joint. The old man goes to place the order, "Pappa Burger, Momma Burger, two Teen Burgers." Then he joins the family at the booth. The young man gets up and returns with the order a few moments later and hands them out.

"Grampa Burger, Granma Burgers, Momma Burger, Poppa Burger"

Then eyes all connect, the truth hits and there are hugs and all that happy stuff. And the old man complains about where are his onion rings. Very cute. But you need to have an A & W Burger house around.

I am assuming you are pregnant in the positive sense or did you mean you lost a child? I just reread you Q again.

With my first child, I wrapped up the pregnancy test and told my husband that way. We were too excited and just called everyone else to tell them. I had a miscarriage so we waited to tell for the second child (third pregnancy.) We searched and searched for a T-shirt that said I'm a big brother for my son to wear and that's how we were going to tell everyone, but we couldn't find one. So he just gave my in-laws a card. We wanted something really cool but didn't want to make it too big just incase we lost this one too.

tell it first to your mate. Invite him to an intimate moments like in romantic dinner after that while you are lying in bed try talking about the plans regarding having a family try to get his plans in a way that he would not expect that your'e pregnant then after that told him your going to be a father soon. Then decide for yourself and your prtner how you gonna told it to your friends and relatives. Congratulations!
