I'm just wondering how much time the average person spends at their gym.

Depends on your goal.If you are aiming for losing weight and looking good, make them brief (30-45min).Because you are a girl I think you should do full body training with short rest interval between sets. The short rest intervals stress the cardiovascular system to the point where calories are burned , the metabolism is stimulated , hormones are stirred up and fat is melted away.Do not forget the 5-10 min of cardio before and after the weight training.

That all depends. If I am with my boyfriend, it's only about an hour. He flies through his workout. I, on the other hand like to take my time.
If I am by myself, it's at least 2 hours.
Three or four days a week, 2 hours would be ideal for me.

if I go I wind up only working out for about fifteen minutes. I'd rather work out at home doing those on demand aerobics and workouts on comcast.
