MOST CORRUPT DEPARTMENT OF THE COUNTRY.

2007-02-03 15:38:13 · answer #1 · answered by RAMAN IOBIAN 7 · 1 0

Except a very few, may be one in a million, all are rogues of the highest order having no heart, no moral value, no common sense, no sense of discretion and no mind at all to mend themselves.

They are immune to human feelings. They are not goverment 'servants'; but they are 'masters'. They only know the powers in their hands and use them EXCLUSIVELY for their own pleasures and comforts. The governments meant for the welfare of public is peenyless and is only losing crores of money that should otherwise go to the exchecker ( right from the illegal collections from the smallest pavement vendors to the richest businessmen. Take for instant, 90 per cent of the traffic 'collections' from the traffic violators and criminal trasporters and the licensing go to the pockets of police in the name of corruption and what negligible share - just a peanut - that is left, reaches the govt. in the name revenue. The system is closely guarded by them so that they continue to enjoy these previleges.

It is most sickening to even think of them and one will become insane if indulge in frequent discussions about them. So, let us remember what Jesus said at the time of crusification, "They know not what they do, Lord, forgive them".

people are at different degree of integrity and sinciarity. The bottom 10% are criminals, cheats, rougues etc.Top 10% are very good people. From top to bottom good qualities dimnish. This is the maxim everywhere.Police dept: is not an exception.
Generally police dept:is known for it's atrocities.Reason- Though available rules& regulations are adequate, many do not adhere to it;no one check/superwise the work of staff to see whether they are performing in time and if not they are asked for explanation and suitable punishments are awarded in time?
I have seen paper reports.Commissioner of Mumbai police tells. We have only 40,000 police force.Highly inadequate, they are put on duties beyond their timings.Lakhs and lakhs of educated youths are employed, govt: wants to erradicate unemployment. But no recrtment. Now a days see at the entrance of railway stations.2/3consables sit with a table & chairs.Interrogates the passengers coming with bag and beggages, sometimes extracting money from them. Not patrolling through platforms to show their presence which definitely will have effect to thwart away bad elements from petty crimes and pickpockets, etc. Another daily sight: 2/3 police personals stand at a point, catch two wheelers & truck drivers and extract money from them.I have my experience.I went to police station, lodged a complaint of cheating against a so called advocate. No registration of FIR.Wrote in their ordinery register, acknowledged in my copy.Went a few times to station. They asks where is the advocate? I said, I have given 3/4 addresses in the complaint. In onother occation they frightened me that they will take a complaint against me for giving money to advocate for favours.Same complaint I gave to the same police station again after 2/3 years. They said ,they will enquire.I made followup visits on their directions.Whenever I visit I find some others of other cases are also called in at the same time without looking into the precious time of people.Enquiring official always bussy with frightening & threating people with their indecent roudy behaviour. After 2/3 visits I stopped going to police station.Recently a news came in times of india.A family is continuosly implicated in cases one by other by waghle estate police station - Reason : one of the family members has gone against criminal activity of a police man of that station. All these absurds are taking place because derailation of duty, lack of vigilence & lack of typical punishment.
There must be a system to acknowledge a complaint by a copy of FIR.In 99.99 cases police are not giving this.Punishment should be given to concerned police personnal who refuses yo give FIR copy to complainant.Higher official on daily basis should allot cases to investigating official to complete enquiry within a specified time limit and further proceeding to be completed in reasonable time and advised/redressed.
In 99.9% police man are impatient, not listeners and dogmatic and do not know how to talk to a fellow man.Result - People are afraid to approach police for any redressals. The bad elements in the dept: has spoiled the name of police which will take long time to reshape the dept: Complulsory training on behaviour, making all rules strict, proper vegilence and typical punishment can change the police force for the welbeing of society.

If you mean the local police department, then as an African American male I am caught in a dichotomy. We need the police to protect us from criminals, however, as a black man, I also view them as an occupying army patrolling our areas and keeping us under colonial control. Many of them view all of us as criminals and approach and interact with us with this attitude. I honestly, experience them as a necessary evil.

Look I think the race card thing needs to be removed from
peoples thinking with regard to Police Forces everywhere,
they are there to carry out and enforce the law.....................

THEY need to be respected wherever they are, they are at
the heart of the fight against crime, and enforce the law......

THE POLICEFORCE is also there to deal with other things
like riots, drug dealing, crime, murders, they also do other
things like deal with domestic issues, solve disputes, and
in the main are men and women like everyone else..............

HOWEVER, their jobs are very hard really, it is not always
easy to take a life while they save another, they are not always
respected in the way they should be, and we need to look at
new ways to really respect them in the way they should be
respected......................................................................................

Is is not always easy to look at them and realise that they do
a job that takes a real measure of dedication to what they do....

People out there get caught up in crime they get caught the
POLICE are then blamed for a lot of other things, as their
cases go through court, they are there solely to provide law
and order, and without the men and women in Police FORCES
everywhere there would be a huge societal breakdown in
society as we know it.....................................................................

They are there to uphold the law, and arrest offenders, now the
law is written in black and white, and even though lawyers
often highlight the grey areas to get offenders off, the Police
have to deal with citizens who break the law, repeat offenders.....
etc.etc.etc....

WE need to appreciate them more................................................
