you have to trim it 6-8 weeks or as often as needed. also us being black women, we need alot of moisture in our hair. id suggest lay on some silk pillows at night. or lay with a silk scarf on the head. cotton pillows will take out the moisture and break the hair off. dont straighten the hair everyday either. thats causing your ends to look brittle as well. try to wrap it at night with a silk scarf. your hair will be good as new. trust me. i used to have the same problem you have.

Ok, first thing you need to do is get some stregnthening shapoo or conditioner (Or both) Use it every time you shower (I use treseme anti breakage conditioner) Treseme is a little expensive but comes in big bottles so you don't have to buy it very often. And it works really well! Use it for a while and then trim your ends off. Keep using it after you trim your hair and get trims every so often. If you use the conditioner enough than it will reduce the split ends a lot! Another thing that helps is after you take a shower, towel dry it first. (SQEEZE! No rubbing! If you rub your hair dry it will cause frizzing and will make more split ends. Sqeeze from the top and work your way down) Then gently work the tangles out from bottom to top. Then gently brush while blow drying your hair. Hope that helps!

I really feel you on this question because I go through the same thing. the best thing to do is cut your hair to get rid of the split ends and straighten ur hair every two weeks instead of every week because constantly washing and straighting your hair is what is causing the problem!

Get your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks. I straighten my hair every day as well, and I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. My hair stylist recommended that I apply it to the ends of my hair before I straighten it. I did what she said to do, and my hair is so much healthier! I mean, it looks and feels so much better than it used to. And the number of split ends that I have has gone way down. It's amazing. I'm completely addicted to it now.

you can start by getting regular haircuts every 6 to 8 weeks or so. plus you could try putting a 'finishing' product in your hair once you are done straightening. Re-apply the 'finishing' product every morning during the week to help try to control the split ends from sticking out and being so obvious. p.s. I have the same problem :(

To treat split ends, first trim off the ends of your hair to an even length. Use all the nourishing applications described in the earlier chapter for your hair. Avoid back-combing or use of spiky rollers. You could also use these other nourishing tonic applications for your hair. i have the same problem with my hair. and i straighten it all the time.
you cant stop getting split ends if your going to continue to straighten your hair. the heat damages it and thats where the split ends come from

have your ends trimmed but you absolutely need to deep condition 1/week for like 30 minutes and also use a hot oil treatment and find a good leave in conditioner that you can use every day
