I got a haircut yesterday that I don't really like. It's about two inches longer than my avatar's. I've tried blow drying it and straighening it...it all looks bad! What are some tips you have? Has anyone else been in this situation?
This is the cut I asked for...I have a really good stylist and she showed me how short it would be...I just wasn't paying attention. What do I do?

I don't want to go any shorter. That's the problem! I think it's too short!

I think everyone has had a bad haircut at some point. I swore off Supercuts since the last bad haircut I got from there. I guess all I can say is that luckily it grows back. In the meantime I would recommend extra barrettes, hairspray, and other things you can accessorize your hair with to take the focus off of how bad you think it looks. I think another thing is that we see ourselves differently. When I thought I had a real bad haircut I actually got a lot of compliments from friends and co-workers. It might not even be as bad as you think :-)

If it's the cut you asked for, and you only got it yesterday, try going back today and asking your stylist for more styling options. Ask what she thinks you should do with it, and have her show you how to do different techniques.. Curling, maybe a blow-dryer attachment, etc.. Hope this helps! :)

You'll just have to live with it until it grows back...
I went through the same thing about seven or eight months ago, I'm still suffering the consequences!
For now, just blow dry it...
It won't look perfect, but what else can you do.
I'm really sorry about what happened to you... :-(

There are certain ways by which you can alter the effect your hairstyle has on your face. Highlights, layers, bangs etc. All help. You should look at some pix online and get an idea.

I have been in that situation too,you know what the best thing to do is just to forget about your hair, and if you can't forget just get a new hairstyle.
