Is the blood red or black?
If red, it is something going on in her colon. Most likely it's a hemmorhoid or polyp that is causing the bleeding, but in rare cases it can be associated with cancer. She should see a doc to get an appt for a sigmoidoscopy, which is a routine and relatively easy test.
If the blood is black, then it is something in her small intestine or stomach. Could be an ulcer that is bleeding, polyps in the duodenum or somewhere else in the small intestine, or of course, rarely cancer. NOTE: stomach cancer is extremely rare in teh US due to our high fat diet, so don't worry too much about it!
If the blood is black, have her schedule an endoscopy to check the stomach and duodenum.

She should see a doctor to determine the cause. Having pain for that long and now she has other symptoms, especially bleeding, needs to be addressed by someone that can look at the whole picture. You don't want to second guess with your health.

If she is passing blood in her urine, it means that there is internal bleeding. But only blood tests and urine tests can deterime what the cause might be. Think of this phrase "Blood goes round and round, air goes in and out. Any variation of the two isn't a good thing". Go see a doctor!

Sounds like an ulcer but you should ALWAYS get these checked up at your doctors. Good Luck!!
Actually, if the blood is shiny red and little of it, maybe your wife has been just wiping her behind too roughly in the last couple of days. You need to ask her.

maybe it's food poisoning... or it could be an ulser.. or maybe something even more serious (god forbid), but I'm not a doc. If this has been going on for a whole week, she should go see a doc.

You need to take her to the ER or walk-in clinic. If it is an ulcer the blood would be dark, almost black and extremely foul smelling....my husband almost died from a bleeding ulcer 2 1/2 years ago and this is what his was like.

My expert oppinion would be that your wife may have stomach cancer. However the symptoms you listed may be caused by other things.

Umm, dude, how about you call the local emergency room instead of consulting the legions of trained medical professionals who while away their idle hours on Yahoo.

Go to a doctor and tell her your wife's symptoms. Also, it wouldn't hurt to look it up online, then you get an idea of what is wrong. GoodLuck! =)

she needs to see a doctor, preferably a gastroenterologist. Could be any number of things, some serious, some not so serious.
