Im talking about christians, muslims - ones who are extremely religious, and pray every day or go to mass every sunday. Are there people who're gay and still do all those things?

I've only met a couple gay guys who were into that. They were very strong in their beliefs, and went to a very accepting and open minded church... This one accepted the fact that they were gay and didn't care... I believe the idea was "as long as you love Jesus." I thought that was pretty cool.

Not that I want to agree with Michelle but there are tons - I'm training to be a priest in the UK and I know loads of people who are gay and who are priests and even Bishops but who have made a commitment to be celebate... I probably should clarify that the vast majority of people I know who are priests are straight though.
That's the key point - not who you're attracted to but what you do in that situation. I'm straight and single and it's fairly rare for young women who are church leaders in the UK to get married - so I expect I'll be single (and celebate) for the rest of my life. You can still have an identity and have a totally fulfilled life.
We had a guy come in and talk to us about what it's like to be gay and a strong Christian and he was really helpful.
He's set up this charity "true freedom trust" check it out online if you're interested. They seemed pretty normal about things

Quite a few, although many have to either be secretive in their religious group or go to a more liberal congregation.

EVERYONE is religious in some way. It's a question of having a real, living relationship with Jesus.

I'm sure there are ... we all have sin in our lives. While one Christian may be a smoker and another obese it doesn't make them better or worse than the homosexual.
