A few years ago, the England football team got into trouble for some high jinks. The press tried to blame individual players but the team stuck together and David Beckham announced at a press conference that from now on the team would be taking collective responsibility for everything.

Given that this very kind offer has not been withdrawn during the intervening years...everything I have done wrong has been dealt with under the collective responsibility of the England team.

I have therefore had no particular need for redemption through the blood of Christ as Becks and the lads have quite frankly seen me alright.

Should the team ever decide enough is enough...I may well be looking for other avenues down which I might be saved!...Watch this space.

Saved from sin and death.
We live in a world that is alienated from Jehovah. When his New System of things comes, we will being to be taught by him, learn from him things we would have learned had Adam and Eve been faithful. I
maging living long enough to understand your passions to the fullest degree. Some it may be the starry heavens above. For others it may be the oceans, the mountains, or even just 1 species of plant or animal life that has not reviled all of it's secretes and yet mankind has been studding it scientifically for several hundred years.
Learning something is never dull or boaring.

Many people have a misconception about God and what is required for us to go to heaven. They think of God as if He held a balance or pair of scales in His hand, weighing our good deeds on one side of the scales and our bad deeds on the other. As long as our good deeds outweigh our bad deeds, we think God will surely reward us with eternal life.

But that is a serious misunderstanding and is wrong. Instead, God's standard is perfection, because He is a holy God who is without sin. That is why the Bible warns, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it" (James 2:10). There is only one conclusion: "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

How then can anyone be saved and have eternal life? Only by God's grace and forgiveness. And God has made this possible because Jesus Christ took our sins and our punishment upon Himself when He died on the cross. He is without sin, but God put all your sins on Him and He willingly died for you because He loves you.

Do not trust your own goodness; you can never be good enough to earn your way to heaven. Instead, turn to Christ for the forgiveness you need, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. Do not let your pride get in your way, but admit your need to God and trust Christ alone for your salvation. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

To be saved means to be saved from the wrath of God from all our sins. Since God is perfectly righteous every transgression against the law of God must be judged and punished accordingly. The more we sin in our lives the more wrath we store up for the Day of Judgment. Eventually we will have to give an account for each sin committed in our lives even down to every word we have spoken. After this final Judgment we will have to pay for our sins in eternal damnation. Thus to be saved means to be saved from having to endure an eternity of torment under God's wrath.

Well Christians tend to believe that we are all tainted from birth with the "Original Sin" and thus need saving because we are all worthless sinners. I think this is a negative and harmful way of looking at the world and part of the reason I rejected Christianity.

AS it says in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". See when Adam sinned all mankind was damned to death because we are the descendants of a sinner. "the wages of sin is death". So we must be saved from death and a eternal damnation to hell. How are we saved? When Jesus also referred to as the Second Adam came to this world as the Son of Man and gave his life for us we were given the opportunity to be saved. In Rom. 10:9 it says That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. So haven't accepted him into your life don't hesitate because the next moment is not guaranteed

Good Question! And I believe lots of people ask this question to themselves. Imagine yourself at the time when Jesus Christ was born and crucified. What would you have done while you are watching an innocent God's Son who came to earth and did miracles and instead of loving him we killed him. Just be honest with yourself and think about it. What would have done? Nothing!
This is our first sin. Moreover God did not judge us or punish us for our sins instead whoever comes to God , He directly forgives all his sins. Like when Jesus was on the cross and said
" forgive them my Father "God" because they do not know what they are doing".
How many sins we do in our lives? Every sin is like a hammer hit on the nails of Jesus hands on the cross.
Can you love and forgive someone hurt you? I guess its so hard.
But God and Jesus can and is waiting for us always. Its just when you come to God you will know and feel why.

If you read the Bible instead of being mislead by a lot of apostate churches, it is from missing the opportunity of eternal life. Otherwise you just stay dead. Quote 'The dead know nothing at all'.
It's only Satan who gets the free heating!

It's the perfect scam - Christianity comes up with the idea that all humans are filthy sinners who are unworthy of God's love, then they claim that converting to their religion is the only solution to that problem.

It's so devious, so sneaky, such a great con, I sometimes wish I'd thought of it myself.
