Dear Friend,

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to recall any piece of information instantly, without having to refer to a sheet of paper every five seconds? Well, get ready for the shocking truth... Your brain already has this ability... You just haven't been taught how to use it!

UNDERSTANDING HOW OUR BRAIN THINKS

Since the moment we are born our brains have been taught to learn in a very cumbersome way, we have been taught to rely on our left-side brain, which controls logic and reasoning. However, in recent years science has proven that our mind's memory facilities are totally visual. This visual aspect of the brain is controlled by our right-side, which governs our emotions and visualization ability. It also controls our daydreams and artistic sensibility.

Once we understand this fact, we can begin to teach the mind using both sides of our brain. This method of learning creates a balance, and as a matter of fact, it is how we have evolved. By primarily employing our logic side (left-side) for learning, we are only using a small fraction of our brain's natural ability.

You have no doubt heard the saying, 'We only use a small percentage of our brain.' This statement is absolutely true, but with these memory expanding techniques you will be using more of your brain, and as a result increase your awareness and your I.Q.

Hi
One of the ways to imporve your memory is to practice memorization. My teacher told us that if you review your notes everyday you remember better because you are in contact with the information more often. In our brain, information is stored with no problem. What happened 10 years ago is stored in our brain. The only problem is retreival. Information is stored, but how to get to the information is the key problem of memory. Maybe you could maintain a diary for some days. Spend your day as usual, then jot down in your diary what you did the whole day. Next day try to remember what you did the previous day. See if your memory tallies up with what you wrote. On the next day try to remember what you did 2 days ago. On the 11th day try to rememeber what you did 10 days ago. It will be much easier to remember what did on the first day of the cycle because you remembered it for 10 days. I've also read that eating about almonds a day increases your memory. Eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies.

Like physical muscles, the memory needs exercise. So practice. And meanwhile make sure to get good nutrition and otherwise take care of your health: Poor health often brings poor memory.

Good luck!

when studying try picturing the things you're reading, visualize them. this is proven to be better for memorizing.

understanding and relating what you're reading is important. i.e. connecting the new information to those learned before.

also to store information in your long-term memory you need to revise them, repitition is important especially if you would revise what you studied few days later and not in the same day.

hope that helps
