That is stupid.
The world will end as we know it. It has to in order for us to survive we as people have to demand better cleaner renewable energy sources. We have to be no longer dependant on fossil fuels. Once our world governments figure that out there will be little need for war. It is unfortunate that it has to take this catastrophe for people to understand that there are no borders it is one planet and it is getting angry and rebelling at the way it's being treated. We must all work together and change our thinking. The pollution that the plants make in China move across the Pacific into North America. The pollution we make here goes across the Atlantic to Europe. We are killing each other and we have no idea.

The basic principle of a fridge is that it removes heat from the air in the fridge, the heat that's removed is released into the room so in effect all that's happening is heat is being moved from one place to another. To function a fridge requires a motor which itself produces heat. Leaving a fridge running with it's door open will slightly increase the temperature of the whole room.

The motor requires energy to work it, as such running the fridge will contribute to global warming through the burning of fossil fuels needed to generate the power to operate the motor (unless the fridge is powered by renewable energy sources).

From a mathematical point of view - the surface of the earth is half a billion square kilometres and the atmosphere is 100km thick. If every single person on the planet (6.5 billion people) had a fridge then each fridge would need to cool 8 cubic kilometres of air - or the amount of air contained in 3 million average sized (2500 cubic metres) hot air balloons.

Keeping the fridge door closed and not having it any colder than needs be will help reduce global warming.

Certainly not , CFC used in very large amount in olden refrigerators make the OZONE layer to shrink . Actually those CFC kinda stuff has damaged the ozone layer & laid way for increase in total earth temperature . So if you keep ur fridge doors opened during their running time will increase the CFC level which in turn increases global warming.

P.S -> Switch of the Fridges & keep their doors open, this will reduce global warming :)

No Because the suden surge of energy to keep the refrigerators cool would increase global warming. It was a good idea though

Well let's see. If you opened your fridge door, that would make the motor run more, whcih would use more electricity, which would require more oil and coal to be burned to generate the additional electricity. So what do you think...actually it's pretty clear you're not thinking at all.
