unfortunately there is not a cure.

there are several treatment options, none of which seem to work for everyone.

the top 4 treatment options seem to be (in no particular order)
1. diet changes
2. phototherapy
3. topical medications
4. systemic medications

1. diet changes - are difficult to maintain, must eliminate acidic foods & other junk foods (soda, fatty/oily foods, spicy foods, etc),drink lots of water, generally only effective on mild cases or when used with other treatments
2. phototherapy - can be expensive & may take weeks to see results & will need to continue treatment, but has few side effects and is relatively effective
3. topical medications - can be messy & difficult to apply, have minor side effects, generally only effective on mild cases or when used with other treatments
4. systemic medications - can be expensive & may have unwanted side effects, may have to start & stop or alternate treatements due to risks, usually only used in worse case situations, and generally very effective.

there are also homeopathic remedies, such as Omega-3 fats, that have anecdotal success.

whatever you decide to do, consult a dermatologist & a dietician if you can and make sure you all know what each other is trying to do & what methods you are most comfortable with and are most likely to be able to continue for a lifetime.

good luck!!

There are three drugs that are being used with sometimes remarkable success in treating psoriasis. In particular, Remicade and Embril come to mind. You need to see a rheumatologist for more information.

There are many psoriasis medications available from supermarkets and pharmacies. One that's strongly advertised is T-Gel from Neutrogena. Check that stuff out.

Yes, my father in-law suffered greatly and now he gets some injections that has cured it. Sorry I don't know what it is but he lives in Slovakia and the medicine is from the USA.
