Buona sera Carina,
Yes I speak Italian. It is not a useless language. It is beautiful, poetic, and the language of a great civilisation. At school, I learnt French, English, Italian, German and Latin, because I moved to different schools with different options, but Italian was my favourite. And I love Italy.
Penso che parlare l'italiano da molto piacere alle persone che lo cognoscono un poco o abbastanza bene. Ti piace l'inglese?
Ciao, Bella. Bacci dell' Inghilterra.

I am a Belgian who speaks Italian very well. I have visited Italy many times and have seen 13 of the 20 regions. With strangers most Italians speak the standard language. In small villages elder people are often not able to speak it. I have also been a member of an Italian web-site in the USA. They were all second or third generation. Most of them did not speak any Italian at all. A few spoke very little. I had to chat in English with them.

I only wish Italian was taught more at school in England. It is a beautiful language much more easier on the ear than Spanish or French.

Ciao Hele,
Well I'm a long, long way from my school days but I did start studying Italian at night school about three years ago.
While it is true that Italian is only spoken in Italy, it is still the most beautiful language in the world. - Secondo me
Ciao
Baci,
