My pit bull likes to talk. He doesn't bark..he just opens his mouth and begins to make cooing noises like a child. He started doing it as a young age and I encouraged it b/c it was hilarious and cute. Now whenever I yell at him..he "talks back" in his own little way. He snobs me and then does what I ask like a toddler. I love him. He's silly.

Ah! I have two adopted pit bulls. My two year old brindle APBT almost NEVER talks. She does bark at the mailman, other dogs, and strangers, and she will make a loud "yawn" when she wants something, but thats all. My puppy, however, barks and whines at EVERYTHING!! (Though he runs away as soon as it makes teh slightest move toward him! Hes such a big chicken!!) He is very loud when he is playing too... But I cant get either of them to be vocal besides that. Ive always wanted one of them to get crazy like that. I bet your dog is hilarious!

No I dont have a pit that does it, but my German Shepherd talks back all the time. She makes all sorts of noise and especially if she gets in trouble she likes to back talk when she goes and lays down. She always has to have the last "word" What is really funny is when she talks to us and my golden retriever gets jealous and tries to talk to. She is so pathetic she cant "talk" or howl or even bark (she sounds like a beached seal) so we just laugh at her because it is so bad. What can you do if you picked goofy dogs? Just enjoy them I guess!

my 2 are the same way they have their on way of talking. my brindle will get tired of the cats playing with her tail and chomp her teeth the cats quit these dogs are very smart. i live in a tralior and there was a puppy under it i told my dog to get the puppy and she came out with it in her mouth, that turned out to be my new pit(im guessing someone dropped it of) when he runs around the back yard i can tell the brindle to go get pup and 2 min later here they come!

my pit-bull mix dog howls. he does bark but usually makes really whiny howly noises. I thought it was because my Shepard dog taught him. I hope you didn't cut his ears or tail. Its so sad when dogs are mutillated to fit mans expectations of nature. SMILE.. your dog loves you...go adopt a friend for him..
