First, I would check to see where she is laying. If she's outside a lot, she may be sleeping close to an area where she urinates. My boyfriend's dogs do this and the smell only goes away when it snows.
If that is not the case, ask your vet. A change of food may be in order. As long as you know the odor is not from her mouth, bad teeth, stomach problems, the vet is really the only sure source of info.

Have you seen your vet about this? This could be something as simple as a glandular problem... although it could be something as big as cancer. My mammy had a dog who fought cancer (at a old age) and it has a very distinct smell. Either way, your vet can drain the glands... that smell is awful... or help you figure this out! Best of luck!

no,, her anal glands could be impacted --- any groomer or vet can expel them for you and/or show you how to do it.... also make sure your dog's smell isn't coming from ears.. frequent bathing will also cause ears to over produce waxy stuff.... try changing dog food to a high quality dry kibble,,,,,, no by products , corn or wheat.

Deodorant
Maybe stop feeding the dog Taco Bell bean burritos with extra onions.
Shave it bald, soak it in tomato juice for an hour and then throw it in the pool. (tomato juice is good for skunk smells)
Take it to a car wash.
Is your dog eating it's ****? how about cat ****?

I had a black lab with floppy ears and she was very musky, even right after a bath, the vet gave me a gentle cleanser for her ears and it helped, alot, and it helped to keep moisture out of her ears which had bothered her before ( she shook her head alot )
