I started coming here so I could talk with people and find out about other religions. I see that alot of you spend way too much time here, wasting everybody's time and being nasty. If you don't believe, don't you have better things to do? Are your lives that boring that you have to come here and write the dumbest things you can think of? Not all of you, but most. If you hate religion so much, find something better to do maybe. If you believe religion is so evil, and you are so virtuous, why don't you try to make life better for someone and quit wasting your time here. Maybe you could start your own section, you could all get together with your crap to amuse each other. Some of you, by the things you have written, are so very pathetic I can't believe it. I'm hoping you are just bored children taking a break from your playstations. I know I will get attacked for this. That is fine, I can handle it. While you are attacking me remember, I didn't go looking for you, you looked for me.

My question was more directed to the people that don't come for honest debate and sharing. The people that ask if Jesus commited suicide because there weren't enough little boys to molest. was Jesus' death a publicity stunt. Those kinds of ridiculous questions. Pointless. Waste of time.

For the umpteenth time....

These questions show up on the main page. You don't have to come to the R&S section to see them. Besides, if you came here to learn about different beliefs, then why discredit the belief of the nonbeliever? Besides, I see negativity from all walks of life on this forum. The nastiness isn't found in just one group of people, it's found everywhere. I mean look at your question, insulting and rude. Yet you think that you have the right to be judgmental of people who don't believe like you do, and ignore the nasty remarks that come from "believer's" of God. Are you more special then an atheist that you can do what you accuse others of doing? And feel that it is appropriate?

******************

You are quite new to this forum so I will let you in on a few things, not that you will read this cuz you thumbed me down, just proving that you didn't really want an answer to your question but rather some people to agree with you. No doubt you will pick an answer that says 'You're right, who do these people think they are. Why are non believers seekig us out.' But just because someone says they are an atheist doesn't make them one...just because someone says they are a Christian doesn't make them one. There are plenty of people here on this forum that say they are opposite of what they really are to make their polarity seem uncredible.

Also, specifics during a question are important. If you meant the people who ask questions like the ones you mentioned, hours after you posted the initial question, then you have to say those questions. I have read questions from ALL sides that are bashing someone. I have read questions from all sides that have a definitive and intelligent debate to bring to the table. So to say that atheists are the only ones doing that is a falsity, to say the least. That's like saying that all black people live in the ghetto and collect welfare. That isn't true either and it's just as bad a generalization.

I am a person of faith perhaps I can anwer your question.

1. When you go to Answers, questions come up from all categories so they probably did not go looking for YOUR category.

2. Yes there are nasty people. They are answering all categories. Not just YOURs.

3. Maybe some doubters are looking for a route to Faith. They want to be convinced.

4. Nasty answers from you certainly does NOT demonstrate what spirituality or Christian behavior is. Or change their mind!

5. Some people are bitter about religion because they have been mistreated by those claiming faith or mean people masquerading as "good church goers." Your attitude will further alienate them.

6. This is not YOUR section.

People come here for advice or wholesome debates. You seem to be judging non-believers as a whole, and you seem to think that all of them are nasty and disrespectful. You should probably get your stories straight.
The fact that you even suggested segregating the religious section is a bigoted thing to say. Everyone here has a right to free speech. Just because a few people have offended you, doesn't mean you should completely and contemptuously insult every non believer on here. So what, if a few people on here have nothing better to do than to post stuff on Yahoo Answers, does that make you better than them?
And by the way, I didn't come looking for you. Whatever answers you recieve, you brought upon yourself with your completely trolled question.

yes, because christians would _never_ impose themselves upon an atheist forum section. Get real.

this question has literally been asked a million times before although never in such a rant-y and boring way and the answer is always the same: Open. Forum. get over it.

I like how you use this question to sneak a little personal attacks in "Some of you, by the things you have written, are so very pathetic I can't believe it" and take the time to patronise "I'm hoping you are just bored children taking a break from your playstations"

Not totally an answer--but a comment:

I completely agree with you! I am a proud Catholic and I like to answer people's questions when they are serious. When a serious question is asked by a religious believer to be answered by religious believers, what makes non-believers think they can just come on in rank us out for nothing?! They just want to feel that they are so right and powerful because they think they can prove us wrong by seeking us out. These people have no lives. They have no joy in their except to poke fun at us and what we believe, plus they get their kicks out of asking rediculous questions like "Did Jesus commit suicide?" and stuff like that. I've learned to ignore these people and just pray for them because all that's all they really need, prayer and a banishment from Yahoo! all together.

I came by your question, what I just wanted to say to you is that good for you that your interested in the answers. But look at it this way if you believe there are non-belivers in here wasting your time, what you should do instead of thinking like this is to be glad they come, maybe they will find the light and the answers they need eventually, they are seeking for answers because they need them. Remember jesus was outcasted. Just go about what you do with your quest for answers, and ignore the remarks, hopefully these types will either get it some day or they will go away, don't fuel the fire so to say. Have a good day!

Stick around long enough and you'll realize it's not just non-believers who are nasty and cause arguments in here. I've seen many christians get quite nasty and rude also. There are many non-believers in here that are very mature and will give appropriate answers without sounding insulting or rude. Don't think so narrow as to think that a specific group of people are all like you say they are.

Do those with opposing views bother you so much that you would want them to have no voice here? Non-believers are allowed to post here just as much as you. BTW, what have you done to better the world? You certainly are painting all non-believers with a very broad brush...excuse me, not "all" just "most". You certainly did come looking for the responses you will most likely get because by posting this attack against others, you inspire a response. Must be the S&M in you that enjoys it. Or perhaps you like attention and have no other way to get it.

1) There is not an atheist category on Yahoo! Answers
2) We love a good debate
3) If we are not rude and play nice, you should be happy to have some people here to tout your beliefs to. Otherwise, you would just be preaching to the choir.

I agree...and so do many others. I understand your frustration. It is very understandable though. If there "were no God" than it would be evident to all and it would be believers going to an "atheist/agnostic section with "the dumbest things we could think of"...right? Relax your on the side of the Truth. Remember the scripture? "He that believeth on Him will not be ashamed" and the Words of Christ himself..."If the hate me they will hate you also". It's part of what Paul(I believe) calls the "fellowship of His suffering"
