i ripped a cd the other day and i was listening to it on my way home....the next morning i cranked my car and the display said cd error....so naturally i tried to eject it...however when i push eject i only hear what sounds like gears slipping.....i cant play the cd or anything.....then last night the cd just starts playing and i was able to eject it.....so thinking it was a fluke i put it back in and was listening to it, i stopped at a store and when i returned and cranked the car it wouldnt play the cd again.....this morning it is fine....anyone have a clue as to whether this is a cd problem or a player problem?....btw my warranty expired 8K miles ago...go figure!

First check the player by trying to play a regular CD not a "burned" one.if this does not work,it may need cleaned, but beware of store bought cleaning kits.if you still have a problem you may have to take it to the dealer.if you are firm with the dealer they may cover it on what they call a good will policy due to the fact that your only 8k out of warranty.

especially situations CD force has a tendency to grant undertaking on particular sort of CD. My question is that no count if u use the Burning utility or use window's build-in burning utility. attempt yet another sort of cd-r , if not ok, then it's time to alter the cd author.

"I ripped a cd the other day..."

Put a known good retail CD in, and see if you have the same problem. If you do, look to the CD player. But I bet you don't.
