Okay, I know many here will say I'm crazy but I'm going to put this out there anyway. 1.) Christians make up a good portion of the conservative right in this country. 2.) The conservative right traditionally stands for real rights and freedoms that the liberal left wants to take away. 3.) One of those freedoms is the right to bear arms and the liberal left has pushed for a law that would prevent anyone with any sign of mental illness from ever being able to obtain a firearm. 4.) As the law was written last session this would include most of our veterans and many police officers who have been treated at any time for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. So it was rejected by the conservatives in congress. 5.) So, now that liberal democrats have this country by the throat and are prepared to reintroduce this bill, here comes a man who has a mental illness dating back ten years, but somehow managed to get hold of a .45 cal semi-automatic weapon that he takes into a large church and murders the Pastor? 6.) How convenient is this incident to serving the liberal cause? I'm not claiming a conspiracy by liberal democrats here, but any real Christian knows that there are evil forces at work in this country right now and any real Christian knows that those forces are working to benefit the liberal agenda. Remember the case of Matthew Murray killing four people connected to the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, in December 2007? And just days before that, Robert Hawkins opened fire at Westroads Mall in Omaha, Neb., killing 8 people and himself. Those attacks were just before congress considered this law the last time. As for what will happen to this man? He was and is fodder. A great deal will be made out of this shooting in the press, but in the end he will be shown at least some degree of mercy in the court and will not receive the death penalty. He may get 10-20 years but as soon as sentencing is over, we'll never hear about him again except when congress makes it argument to pass this law again. As Christians we need to pray for this man because he needs our prayers even more than those who lost a husband, dad, or Pastor.
