I want to file online. What is the best site when comparing price vs. ease of use. My taxes are pretty basic..(married, mortgagte deduction, 2 kids, no investments or rental properties). I was thinking of taxact.com. What do you think?

Tax Act is great. I've used it the past three years. I'm a student with income and no assests so it usually takes me about 45 min. Everything is free except for your state return. And they give you helpful instructions and figure out all the deductions and credits for you. It's so easy a caveman can do it.

You didn't say which country your from! And if you're from the US or Canada, you should include your state or province (or "providence" as many of us south of the border say).

Many U.S. states have 100% free sites for submission of state income taxes.

... err, on further examination, you *did* post the question to the U.S. area, so one can assume the United States. Still indicating your state will let respondents tell you if there's a free state site.
