I need some help with what to eat for breakfast. I am not on a huge diet, just trying to lose a few pounds of fat and gain a few pounds of muscle. I weigh about 180 lbs and am 5'10"....I do not have a lot of time during the week to cook, so I have to eat things for breakfast that are quick and easy. This is what I have been eating the last few weeks....

1/2 sugar 1/2 calorie Flavored Oatmeal or
2 pieces of Wheat Toast with 1/2 sugar jelly or
Frosted Mini-wheats with 2% Milk

I lift weights and do cardio work outs on a regular basis, but I really don't know what to eat in the morning that will get my metabolism rolling and will help me with my diet.

Thanks for the help!

A lot of people subscribe to the idea that breakfast should actually be the heaviest meal of the day.

This works well for me. In the morning you should get the bulk of your protein. Protein is what gives you energy and can kick start metabolism... there's a reason farmer's eat eggs and bacon for breakfast!!

Try making hard boiled eggs the night before. Eat a hard boiled egg and string cheese for breakfast!

Then, eat oatmeal or toast for dinner!

Add some lean meat for breakfast instead of all the carbs. Protein gives you energy and it lasts longer. Personally, I like Turkey Kielbasa. I have that, 3 egg whites, and a 1/2 a piece of cheese. It comes to around 200 calories. :) Good luck.

PROTEIN. Two hard boiled (not Fried) eggs with wheat toast. I find that this gives me more energy than Oatmeal.
