It's not a decision that you need to even think about before you're halfway through medical school.
All doctors undergo the same basic training (except for a few electives near the end of school). When you go through your clinical rotations, you'll soon discover whether you are a surgeon, or a pediatrician, or a family medicine person, or a radiologist, or whatever.
I'm an anesthesiologist, and really can't imagine doing much else. When I started medical school, I was going to be a pediatrician. Now, if I had to see screaming kids all day, I'd put a bullet in my head.
If you want to be a doctor, go for it. You'll find your niche.
Good luck! (Study hard)

There are many, many fields of practice. If you are speaking of M.D. or D.O. you could get into the commons of practicing family practice, internal medicine, specialties like Ob/Gyn, pediatrics, orthopedics, endocrinology, asthma/allergy, immunology, surgery, neurology and the list goes on and on. Try to figure out what you think you may be most interested in helping people with and go from there. Check out credintialed medical websites too.
Hope this helps.

Why asking? You cannot be all of them at the same time!
They say that practicing medicine needs an "inner call". If you have it, the answer doesn't matter.
If practicing medicine not for art, but as a business, it doesn't matter either!
Test yourself: if feeling sick when seeing blood, forget about it!
If interested in mysteries of life, you still have a chance!
