Not at all. At this point it is best to show them the potty, but they have to develop physical control, which can take several years, emotional willingness and sufficient maturity. When she starts showing interest support her, until then justs offer it occasionally. If you push too hard you will end up with lots of potty accidents, and as a result a child who suffers from self esteem issues because she cannot meet the expectations. If she isn't trained by 3 1/2 then you might look for some ideas, or see if htere are problems, but until then don't push it.

My 1st daughter potty trained at 1 1/2. My second did not until she was 3. Big difference in 2 children. They will go when they are ready, not when you are. Just keep the potty around and encourage her to use it everyday. I picked my daughter up from school one day and they asked me why I was sending diapers to school. I was shocked, she had been going at school for the last 2 weeks, but not at home. Don't rush her, let her decide when she is ready for the big girl potty.

Every child is different. Just be patient and she'll let you know when she's ready. Or try this, buy a potty chair and sit in the bathroom and get her familiar with it. She may play it but she knows it there. Plus when you go, she may want to try to go too. My boys were 3yrs before fully potty trained and my daughter was 2yrs. Good luck to you.

I have 3 year old twin girls. One girl was ready to train when she turned 2. The other wasn't ready until she turned 2 1/2. So I wouldn't try to force the issue if she isn't ready. By 3 she will be somewhat if not completely trained.

she's not even 2 yrs old yet, so no, she shouldn't be completely trained. you should be working on it with her, but don't expect it to happen magically. buy a potty chair, and some training books. if it gets to around 3-4 years, then that's too old.

my son is the same age and isnt trained with the doctor told me not to push cause the more we push the less he wants to do it. just make it inviting to them . where they can see it and ask once in awhile . do you wanna try the potty? another thing is when they do go reward them with praise we alway tell my son how well he did. and that hes a big boy now . good luck :)

they say when they are ready they will and not to hurry them cuz it can backfire. my friend baby was potty trained and then all sudden she quit and then starting using diaper again just take he or she with you to the bathroom when you go and let her know what you are doing. also my sister n law took her baby diaper off in the summer and put them on the porch and when they pee they will feel it ruin down their leg and then they start realizing what going on
