My friend (in the UK) was stopped after three, when she got pregnant and ask for an abortion with her fourth, they refused, she then said she would have a back street abortion and they gave in. This was about fifteen years ago, she now has an eight year old and has NEVER since got pregnant.
So in a nutshell and without a lot of fighting three in the uk is your lot. Especially for surgical abortions which these all were.
I wish others on here would not go on about things they know **** all about. Check on the internet on the NHS three is the limit unless exceptional circumstances and sometimes court is involved after that.
Ignore the ones that say no limit, ask your GP and you will find Im right.

According to the Marie Curie clinic it is 3 maximum without affecting your chances of having further children. However, abortion should not be taken lightly and there should be no reason for anyone to need more than one in a lifetime through circumstances xxxx

Abortion is a personal choice. It is a painful choice though and should not be taken lightly. It drives me crazy me to see people be careless and use it as contraception. There isn't a limit... But hopefully someones conscience would keep them from getting multiple abortions.

I believe as many as you want BUT if you had one you should learn from your mistakes and use birth control from then on. Abortion is not a form of birth control!!!! If someone has multiple abortions maybe the doctor should just tie her tubes while in there!!! Abortion kills!

abortions are not always the right answer but i would think that each time they come with there own risks to your body .Why not consider other options like adoption there are many couples crying to adopt a baby and there just isnt any . also contrseption i mean its not as bad as going through a abortion.

well you can have as many as you would like but your body will not allow you to have a child later in life with out complications or harder to get pregnant due to the abortions use a condom and birth control that way you dont have to worry about it that is a much more responsible way to go about it

You shouldn't using abortion as a form of contraception. If you don't want children yet find another way, it can affect you later, if you decide you do want to have kids.

i would say its up to the medical professionals and yourself, personally though it would be better to take a morning after pill instead of waiting for a positive pregnancy test, far less painful and very simple too. recently i visited a site that showed graphic images of aborted babies this would be enough for me not to have one abortion, let alone consider another.
