Yes, that surprised me as well. Travis has been fighting long enough to know that he has to make weight and what to do if he needs to cut weight. You're right, this probably will be his only title shot. It's a shame that he threw it away. It reminds me of the other TUF 4 member that was kicked out of the house for leaving to met the lifeguard from the pool. It's supposed to be a dream that the fighters have been wanting to achieve, but it is easily ruined by little mistakes that could have easily been prevented.

I couldn't believe he didn't make weight. I saw him last Friday night at a D-League basketball game in Fort Worth and he looked ready. It sucks he's not fighting for the title but he still gets to represent Fort Worth and our local MMA scene that is becoming really strong.
The guy that said this fight card shouldn't be on PPV doesn't have a clue! A title fight with the debut of 2 HUGE names in MMA not suitable for PPV? And there was supposed to have been 2 title fights tonight but GSP got hurt and had to delay his fight with Matt Serra. Pride is decent but doesn't have the talent that UFC has. Dana White (President and Owner of UFC) is similar to Mark Cuban...a RICH fan that owns his favorite team/organization. He has taken UFC to a level that Pride will never even come close to.

If Travis wins, that will set up another payperview event. This is sad that he has made it this far and stumbles before the fight. He had two hours to lose the weight and didn't, damn.

I agree, but he isnt the only moron....the UFC is a moronic organization for putting this fight on ppv. Lutter vs. Silva? please, who do you think wins this fight . As a matter fact, the entire card is a joke. EVERY FIGHT IS PREDICTABLE. THIS SHOULD BE ON FREE TV!!!!!!!!
PRIDE, NEEDS TO PURSUE THE AMERICAN MARKET AND END THIS GARBAGE!!!
