Texas is very strict on upholding and enforcing their laws.

The 18 year old commited a crime and is in prison as mandated
by law because he is a criminal.

If the mother tries to come into Texas illegally to visit her son, she
to will be in prison......

Tell her to wait and pray that her son returns home in 6 months
when he is deported with no bright aspects to re-entering the USA for a long time...

the mom is not "illegal" if she is in Mexico and from there. She is without a visa to enter into the US. She cannot visit him without a visa. But if all he has done is enter illegally, then he will be out soon enough. 6 mos is not that long, he can call her, i suggest that she just wait it out, it takes longer than 6 mos to get a visa for residency, and those families are torn apart!

First of all, the mother is not illegal if she is a Mexican national living in Mexico. Sorry about her son but she needs a passport with a B-2 visitors visa or a Border crossing card to enter the US legally or accept the possibility of being her sons cellmate. Good!

He will be back home in Mexico in 6 months. By the time she even attempts to get paperwork started he will be back home.
