Other then dementia, are there medical conditions that can mimic alzheimers? Please only serious EDUCATED answers.

I know the symptoms.. my question is "Could there be something BESIDES alzheimers that acts the same as alzheimers but isn't alzeimers?" Perhaps something that can be treated or reversed since alzheimers is usually a dead end with very little options..

Alzheimer's disease causes progressive cognitive deterioration and is characterized by senile plaques, β-amyloid deposits, and neurofibrillary tangles in the cerebral cortex and subcortical gray matter.

Involves progressive and irreversible memory loss, deterioration of intellenctual function, apathy, speech and gait disturbances, and disorientation. Course may take anywhere from a few months to 4-5 years to progress toa complete loss of intellectual function. This varies from case to case.

do not eat very good

forget the location of everyday objects

and you can be in denial for the early stages
