He will urinate on the floor even if I have just let him out. I have to confine him to the kitchen now when I'm gone. I never leave him more than a couple hours at a time. Yet he holds it all night long with no problem..What's up with him..

I think he is just afraid of being alone. At fifteen maybe he feels the end is near and does not want to be alone when he goes.

I can't begin to imagine how I am going to feel when my dogs get that age.

That peeing on the floor is either submissive peeing OR an issue that's come up because he's aging. Before you do anything to change the behavior, have a vet check him, so that you have an accutate assessment of what your dog has got going on.

this is called seperation anxiety and it may me due to the fact that your dog is aging. he may be beginning to feel more and more insecure as he finds that he is not able to do all of the fun things that he was once able to. having you there is like comfort, so do not be hard on him, but rather gradually start leaving the house for slightly longer times until he begins to feel more comfterble.
