I have just started the couch to 5k running plan. This week (3 days split up over the week) has been 5 minute warm up, then 8 sets of 60 second running/90 seconds walking, then a 5 minute cool down. Yesterday I noticed that my left knee was swollen, not sore at all, just swollen. So I did my weeks 3rd run/walk anyways. Today I noticed it's a bit more swollen, but still no pain at all. Should I stop until the swelling has gone down even if there is no pain?

you should hold off on the running until your knee goes down. You may not have pain now, but by it being swollen, you do not want to continue to stress it, otherwise you could injure yourself. The swelling is a sign something is not right. Now it could be minor, but it would be a bad thing to continue running on it. especially if your body is not used to this exercise routine.

I would recommend going to your doctor. That sounds like a problem with the joint, something that isn't going to be fixed with a brace.

Probly not. Maybe you should just walk a mile or so if you feel upto it.
