Use a cast iron pan put butter on the bottom of a preheated pan put what seasons you want on the steak and cook the steak 2-5 minutes on each side depending on you like your steak I like medium rare so I usually cook the steak 3 minutes on each side. If you have a sensitive smoke alarm like I do the smoke alarm may go off though even if you have the overhead fan on.

The first time I did this, I couldn't believe how yummy the steaks turned out. The key here is that you use a stainless steel skillet. Any other type of pan will give you an off flavor. Let your steak rest out of the frig and let it get to room temperature. Preheat a stainless steel skillet over medium high to high heat. Season the steak with grill seasoning, or salt and pepper, place it in the preheated skillet and let it cook until the meat forms a nice brown color. The trick on this is NOT to move the steak until it easily releases from the bottom of the pan. Flip and do the same on the other side. Before you serve the steak, be sure to let it rest for about 4-5 minutes. That will give the juices time to distribute through out the meat. This method works for me.

Well there are lots of ways to cook steak without a grill, just make sure it is cooked enough and not tough. ALso you can marienate it before cooking. There is a kitchen top grill you can use if you like. But make sure your ready to clean good after you cook on it because of the grease spalter. But it will also taste good if you put it in a pan and put it in the oven. ALso andy kind of pans will do as long as the steak fits in it. But a good way to eat steakk is marinate it and cut it into cubes, then cook and make gravey and make scallop potatoes and a nice dessert.

ok, your guy loves steak and you do not understand what's stable, have I have been given this right? Steak is a manly ingredient. right it is what you're able to do, chew the bullet and consume a splash steak. i assume your range has a broiler, on the threshold of a grill. Get a pair of rib eye or T-bone steaks, definite you will could consume one. Season with pepper. place on broiler pan and place approximately 3-4" under broiler for 5 minutes. keep oven door cracked open some inches. turn the steaks and positioned decrease back in. keep checking the steaks and while the juices are coming up they're medium uncommon, appropriate. artwork on your area dishes figuring it is barely going to take 10-quarter-hour to broil the steaks.

If you cannot borrow one, you can purchase a grill that fits over your burners, or you can broil your steak in the oven, using 1 of the 2 highest rack positions (I prefer the highest, as I like my steak a little rare, so it doesn't get "tough".
I have also found, that when broiling, if you keep the door open, just about 2" (or more) you get a much better "just grilled look" and texture. Enjoy. Hope this helps.

We bought a non-stick grill pan about a year ago along with a domed lid for it, and have been getting excellent results. It also works well so stove-top grilling pork chops and boneless chicken breasts.
Over medium heat, the grilling times are only slightly longer than if you grill on a gas grill (6 minutes per side for a one inch thick NY Strip steak, done medium to medium rare).

Greetings,
A healthy, delicious way I cook a steak is: Put some water in a frying pan to cover the bottom, trim off all visible fat. You can simmer it till done - brown on both sides, then it will be very tender.
Or you can fry it on high, be sure to sprinkle a little water on top to keep it moist and then use some pepper, garlic, for flavor, then simmer it with a cut up an onion or/and green pepper, eat away, yum yum yum

Bring it to my place, I will cook it for you. Oh that's right, you don't want to get out. Ok, One of my other favorite ways to cook steaks indoors is Broiling... Preheat oven to about 425*. Take a fork and gently, constantly puncture holes all around the top surface of your steak, then allow your steak to marinate in some sort of steak sauce or marinate in a bowl (Worcestershire, or Soy sauce are good marinates).Season your steak with your preferences (mine are Worcestershire sauce, ground pepper corn, a little salt and onion powder). While your steak is marinating, take a pan about 2" deep i recommend covering the floor and sides of pan with foil. Then lay your steak in the pan spread a little butter on top to allow a nice golden brown texture when cooked. place pan in center of the oven allow to cook for about 30 to 50 minutes depending on how tender you want your steak. flip the steak occasionally till golden brown on the outside. Enjoy :p

Steak is not the same if not cooked on the grill... DO NOT BAKE or BROIL..... Fry in pan I guess... if you must.... Dont over cook.... slow cook if good cut of meat don't Put holes it in.... this will ruin the flavor and make the meat tough....
