You can put butter on it. You can toast two breads and a fried egg with a slice of cheese and bacon and make a sandwich. Or some kind of jam. ALso if you like cream cheese. Almost anything would taste good.

Make a fresh tuna pate which goes so well on hot buttered toast...in your blender add a tin of tuna, drained of the oil, add a crushed clove of garlic, salt and cracked black pepper, a little cream cheese, a little cream and a good few squeezes of lemon juice- and blitz! Deelicious!

Can't believe noone has suggested the ultimate cheese-on-toast :
Toast one side, turn and lay on thick slices of Extra Mature Cheddar and splash with Tobasco sauce - as much as you like... Maybe add a bit of tommy k.
Toast 'til brown, eat.
Make more.

Sandwich spread is lush - you know like beef spread? YUM!
Dairylea cheese spread is also fantastic.
Marmalade, Jam, Lemon Curd are all equal
Beans if its more of a snack, or maybe tomatoes or mushrooms.
I really want some dairylea on toast now, but i have no bread and no dairylea! lol

Peanut butter on toast is my favourite - mmmmm... also cheese & possibly any random veg you might have in your fridge (tomato, mushroom, onion - whatever you've got). Got any chocolate spread or dulce de leche - that's good too.
