You are DEFINITELY sick when you have a cold.
Good News is that Cold's do not typically last as long as the Flu or other virus's.

yes you are. because a cold means you have increased sputum production in your sinuses. and there is only increased sputum production if there is an inflammatory process going on which happens only to sick people. i understand why you're asking because it's such a common symptom and most people don't get rushed to the ER or do not even bother to consult a doc for a cold. but really you are sick if you have a cold, they could even be silently indicating a more serious underlying condition. colds during the winter could be normal. but if you keep on having colds from time to time, take vitaminC, if you still have it, it could indicate problem with your immune system.

Of course they get cold. Some dogs have more hair and so they stay warmer. Some dogs don't have very much fat either, they're really lean and they seem to feel the cold more too.
