well, by being all-natural, you wouldn't be putting chemicals into your body, like you would with artificially flavored cheap syrup. Somethings are just worth the higher price tag.

Pure maple syrup has great flavor and alot of sugar. Maple trees need pretty specific conditions to consistantly give up their syrup. Many times sotolon or fenugreek powder is used as an artificial flavor. Both have alot of sugar but artificial syrups often use corn syrup as opposed to the sugar that is naturally in pure maple syrup. Personally I would rather have the real stuff but if you're concerned about the nutritional value just use fresh fruit or a little powdered sugar.

Less processed foods and sugars are always better for you and they do taste better too. Most fake syrups have high fructose corn syrup in them, which is very bad for ones body. It's an unnatural compound and your body has a hard time processing it. You can find more detailed info online.

Generally, good food costs more, but you will be better off eating food that is as unprocessed as possible.

Probably not because it is pure sugar, but it sure does taste better. Fake syrup is not even close.
