The question - do you think it's okay for a guy to wear lycra spandex shorts when working out at the gym?

Me, I'm tall and pretty much built like an pro-football tight end (no pun intended). The gym isn't my life, but it will always be a part of my life. I work out hard to stay in shape and black lycra shorts just seem to feel better and function better than baggier shorts. My wife gets really turned on by it too :)

So, spandex shorts or no spandex shorts? If you like the idea - why? If you hate it - why? Do you immediately assume a dude is gay because of it?

*I wear cotton t-shirts or sweat shirts on top

Its ok, wear what feels best. That being said, I think spandex shorts look nasty-like a girdle (is that spelled right?-what a weird word in print). Anyway, we have a guy that bikes to work every day and he wears them. We do not appreciate his man-camel toe 1st thing in the morning. But I stand by what I said-wear what feels best to you!

Yes. There is nothing wrong with wearing Lycra. It is down to personal choice at the end of the day.

Of course it is OK. Men have been "in tights" throughout history and it has created no problems. If they think you are gay - who cares as they are the ones looking at you. Me thinks they doth protest too much. Wear what you want and be proud. Also if you hung huge - that helps.
