I was late on my payment last month which put me over the credit limit on my credit card and my minimum payment this month is now $200.00! Crazy... I know, but I have another card with nothing on it. Should I transfer the balance of my over limit card to the other one so that I wont be charget all of those extra fees? Also will I even be able to transfer the balance, since I owe money and it is over the limit already? Do I have to pay first? thanks to all of your answers in advance...

You should be able to transfer it no problem.Just pay it off ASAP so you don't get the same problem w/late fees and high interest

Just be careful....you can transfer the balance, but ask first if there are any fees to do so.

In a separate situation, I got an offer for 0% APR for 6 months. I was going to transfer a balance from another credit card, but calculated that the balance transfer fee (something like $50) was more than the interest I would pay just by leaving it on my other credit card.

Your case might be different since you are over the limit....the transfer fee (if there is one...make sure to ASK) may be less. But ask the right questions before doing.
