You have wrong information. Muslims don't beat their wives

You are incorrect. Slavery was carried out long before the birth of Islam in the early 600's CE. I can recall nothing in the Qur'an that specifically sanctions senseless violence against women. There is a cultural tradition of treating women badly in some typically Muslim countries but this has nothing to do with the religion itself. It is about power and control, as is all violence of that sort. It is not inherently Muslim - Christian societies have a strong tradition of treating women badly too. Look at the Victorians and even in the last century, the Magdalene laundries. It is a human evil.

Your question reeks of prejudice. One might wonder why you feel the need to attack an entire race of people in such an ignorant manner. Perhaps you are the one who feels inferior.

A very light beating is allowed when a wife cheats on her husband , and that too after using all fair means to make her understand that she is wrong when cheating her husband......I think one should appreciate islam in that regards that it doesn't tell a man to divorse her on first place as you peoples are doing these days..it still orders to carry that relationship.....How tolerating islam is !!

And Btw we have no problem if your wife cheats you and you reward her with love and effection and give her an award that she is not fair in her relationship with you !!!

if a man is asked to get strict in some cases , he is also ordered to take every possible care of her wife, not even letting her to do some hard work and keep her like jewel....... may i give you a list of woman rights in islam??

Btw, this is the 'only' case where beating is allowed !!

Would you please tell me what "reward" your scripture gives for such unfaithful and disloyal wives??

Funny kind of coincidence that people like you still ask silly questions, and make others beleive you. Do they have some kind of mental illnesses? Yes ofcourse!

Your wrong, Muslim men can hit their wives for a reason, not like how you people just beat up your wives over nothing. Only for valid excuses Muslim men are allowed to hit their wives. Please do the research using the truth, and not what you heard.

What are the rights of the husband and what are the rights of the wife?

One more trouble maker on R&S I see, with half truths and no sources to back themselves up.

Muslim men are only allowed to "beat" their wifes under certain conditions. I live in a Muslim country and I know it is not a common practice here. You need to do your research and get your information straight. Men who are not Muslims beat their wives more often and for lesser reasons than the Qur'an allows for.

You are beyond stupid.

1. The Koran forbids any man to beat a woman. THose who do will be punished by a Sharia Court and by God.

2. Slavery dates back to before the Arabs to the times of Babylon and before, you ****.

I don't think it matters what religion you are - if you beat your spouse you are on a power trip. Slavery is ancient - where is your evidence that they were the first? It used to be a part of Christian cultures to beat your wife to teach her her how to behave.

I've never met a muslim who beat his wife. You must be hanging out with the bad crowd of muslims.

AMATH - see my postings for quotations from the sura saying that a man is entitled to beat his wife. It is a snapshot of the page, in arabic. So deny that then.
