Signs of infection are: pain, redness, swelling, heat and pus.
Right after piercing, though, you might have tha pain, redness and a bit of swelling. If it's getting WORSE, that's a bad sign.
Apply bacitracin ointment to the piercings a few times a day. If they continue to get worse, then you may need to see a doctor. Usually, the bacitracin will take care of the problem.

first of remove the earring completely and using a cotton ball with alcohol clean both sides of the ear lobe very well, your main concern is to get rid of that infection before it spreads, after it heals completely I'm talking weeks, the earrings can be reapplied, even though you may think the hole is no longer there underneath the outer layer of skin it really is still there, Ive gone months upon months without wearing any an then go to put some in an you just pop them Thu.Once I wanted an additional hole and was told to hold a potato behind the ear and insert a needle {i don't think so} what i did was take a ice cube an hold it on the area awhile the took an earring that was a post and just pushed it Thu kept clean with alcohol an never had a problem, best of luck if the infection doesn't go away in a couple days or gets any worse go to the doctor you may need some medicine to help battle the infection. Good Luck.

Your condition is normal, considering it's only been a few days since you got the piercing. The fact that there's no pus is an excellent sign. Clean the piercings at least 1x/day with alcohol (it'll burn!!) or an antibacterial ointment (like bacitracin). I wouldn't recommend peroxide or any similar cleaning solution given to you by the piercing place; these are not strong enough for a new piercing. Do NOT take the earrings out for cleaning, removing and putting them back will tear the skin on the inside and impede healing. Protect your piercings, e.g., don't let anything brush up against them such as your hairbrush, don't sleep on your side (i.e., on your ear).
If you find that your symptoms get worse, or don't improve even a little bit after another few days, see a doctor. But assuming you take the above precautions, it'll get better.

If fevered hot then probably getting infection if not already infected. But consider they my also be too tight. Yes they can heal without taking them out, but need to treat clean them well. Pour on Peroxide to clean area, if you see any oozing then use q tip to clean around earring to remove. Then pour or apply alochol to kill away bacteria. Should be better in 3 days if not then may want to see dr for antibiotics.

that is something you are going to have to deal with for a while after the piercing....sounds like maybe a situation you will have to deal with for a while....it happens to all of us at 1st. and other than keeping it very clean and putting 1% HC cream on it, there is not much other you can do.......but not to worry, it will heal up faster than you can believe. before you know it , you will be healed up.

redness, warmth, and pain, are signs of inflammation, it needs medical attention. you might need topical creams for that. you might need to take out the piercings for a while, or maybe your skin is allergic to the material the piercing is made of then you will have to find another piercing.

can you have someone look at them? Your mum or dad maybe?? It could be that you are allergic to the metal, people can be allergic to silver, although I haven't heard of many people being allergic to gold.. Maybe go to the pharmacy and see they they suggest... A different cleaning solution perhaps... Good luck!

check the backings on your earrings. sometimes when they pierce them with a gun, the backings are too tight. that would also led to pain.
