My favorite story in the Bible is about the adulterous woman brought before Jesus. It is my favorite since, to me, it illustrates two important concepts about God's nature: God's unending capacity to love and forgive and that judgment is God's domain, not mine.
If you recall the story, the church elders stated, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what say you?"
Jesus knew the scriptures of which they spoke. It stated: "If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death."
To the surprise of all, Jesus blatantly violates the scripture by stating, "Let anyone among you who is without sin, cast the first stone." One by one they left, beginning with the Elders. Jesus asks of the adulterer, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" And Jesus says, "Neither do I condemn you."
How powerful and beautiful is this statement.

God feels the same about everyone. No one is immune to the ways of the world. Sin is sin. There is no degree or level of sin in God's eyes. Each one of us have issues to work through to get to the point of becoming the person God has intended and created us to be. It is God's will for everyone to be saved, healed and delivered. He is constantly calling us to repent and find the beautiful life He has waiting for each of us. Let's follow Jesus' lead and not run from the abomination that this world carries but stand with it and allow His love to restore, recreate and renew.

It is wonderfully wise, God loves everyone, but doesn't like the sin. We are all sinners, all have fallen short of the glory of God. I think God loves all sinners regardless of their sin, I think as humans we have trouble accepting such a great unconditional love. God would prefer we didn't sin, and we should do our best to not to.
After the elders left the adulterous woman, it is important to remember what Jesus said next...he said I forgive you of your sins, go and sin no more. He didn't say I forgive you, keep on committing adultery.

You are absolutely right. What an amazing example of God showing mercy. Remember however, he doesn't condemn her but he tells her to go and sin no more.
I think Jesus would say exactly the same today to a homosexual. Jesus loves them as much as he loves you or I, but it is plain that homosexual acts are not in God's plan, and this behaviour is offensive to God (remember the person is not offensive, but the act is). I believe Jesus would say to the homosexual, neither do I condemn you, but go and sin no more...

This scripture sums up all you have written. John 3:17 God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. God wants to save and heal all sinners and homosexuals and not condemn them.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but would have everlasting life.
Its the world and whosoever. God has the power and the awesome love to forgive and help anyone who comes to him.
We are all sinners, and while homosexuality is condemned in the Bible it is not the stand alone sin that many make it out to be.
I believe God loves everyone and He wants what is best for us.
We have to come to believe in Him in order for Him to redirect our lives.
For the alcoholic, it means God has redirected my life to one which does not need or use alcohol.
For each person, their sins will be removed and their lives changed to reflect the life God has designed for them.

You left off the last part of that Scripture which says "Go thy way and sin no more".
God is in the forgiveness business but one must come out of the sin.

God made man and woman. He did not create a third type of human. Therefore, God does not agree with the homosexuals
but if they repent from their sins and return to God He will forgive
their sins and save them from eternity in hell.

The woman was an adulterous. The bible is very clear about how to treat homosexuals and Jesus never overrode that.
You shall stone them with stones and burn them with fire. They are an abomination before the Lord.

Homophobe is a man made word. God is perfect and does not hate anyone. He does hate sin though.
