In general No!!
But, I wish there were a way to really ennunciate the "But", if you have "controlled" damaged hair, you know permed, colored, relaxed you will want to use a shampoo that is more acidic, to help close the cuticle, when you perm, color or even blow dry or curl your hair on a daily basis, you are changing the structure of the hair, opening the cuticle, which is the outermost layer of your hair, by using an acidic shampoo, you help to close the cuticle. Which will also help the hair to appear shiny, with the cuticle closed it gives light a smooth surface to reflect off of! When the cuticle is raised from damage, light reflects off a jagged surface giving a dull, matte appearance!!
Unfortunately you can not walk into a drug store and shop for "acidic" shampoo!! Most consumer shampoos are labeled PH balanced, well everything falls somewhere on the ph scale!! Water is neutral at 7, and if I remember correctly skin and hair fall between a 4.5 and a 5.5!!
Best place to buy acidic shampoo? From a Hair Salon, and please take the time and speak with a Stylist, they are educated on the products their salon sells!!
If you have hair that is not colored or permed, and really not much visable damage you could probably be happy with the everyday shampoos, I love Flex!! and Finesse!! Mainly for the scent, but, my hair is so thin that both of these shampoos just leave me oily and weighed down, but I sure do smell good!! Hehe!

Typically, no. Years ago, etiquette and hygiene books recommended you wash your hair once a week or once every two weeks. But with the advancement of hair care products and the creation of gentler products, it is maintained that you wash your hair daily. Of course, this depends on the shampoo you use. Gentle shampoos may be used daily, while others are recommended for once or twice a week use. Make sure you read the bottle carefully or ask your stylist if you have bought a salon’s formula.
The same is true of conditioners. Deep conditioners and oils are not recommended for daily use, as it can cause severe damage to the hair and scalp. However, there are many conditioners designed for daily use. Again, read the bottle carefully or ask your stylist.

No, just choose a shampoo that doesn't have wax in it. Also make sure the shampoo is the right type for your hair. If you're not sure, ask the person that cuts your hair. He or she should be able to tell you which shampoos are best (no wax). Don't be fooled into buying shampoo from where you get your hair cut. You can get the equivalent at the grocery store a whole lot cheaper.

Yes, because shampoos generally are full of chemicals so it takes away lots of natural oils from your hair so its better to shampoo twice a week, but that's for normal hair. Now it depends on the type of hair you have and shampoo you choose. So i would prefer you first to first know your hair type and then go for the shampoo including the number of times you use it.

As my own experience, shampooing daily makes my hair rough and weak.
But since I started shampooing on alternate days, my hairs have now become healthy and shiny...
