You should also redo your account so that no one can send you messeges or e-mail you to prevent this from happening again.

Report them to Yahoo and let them work it out if it was him just shooting his mouth off.
Did this person explicitly state that they were going to, had committed or had knowledge of committing a specific criminal act (rape)? If so this would be an instance to involve local authorities.
At another forum I belong to we had a user post some very intimate information about the kidnapping and subsequent deaths of 3 missing young people. In our case we did notify the authorities. The investigation is still underway.

i stumble on that I typically get those violation notices when I deliver a question to balloting. i imagine 1 million, 3 and four(non secular zealots who imagine they're doing God's artwork on earth) it would want to no longer be 2, because i'm under no circumstances pleasant. note, i'm no longer speaking about those I positioned up which will be idea-about as offensive, only those that are not to any extent further offensive.

by all means report the abuse to this web site, also remove your mailing address, some people are only brave behind the keyboard and take great pleasure in making you worry.
it is a shame but a reality that we do come in contact with some very odd people. be safe and take care

Do what you think is right, and I'd be willing to bet that the RCMP has a website that will allow you to report this moron.

Bypass Yahoo! Customer Care and contact the Yahoo! Answers Team directly:
yahoo_answrs_team@yahoo.com (no "e" in answers)
I honestly don't know how much they can/will do, but it's worth a try.
