who the people that help with funds especially if you are just starting up as a charity?

I want to help my generation by providing a charity that can help people to be independent. But my problem is where do I start from.
please do not forget I lived in United kingdom

Which generation are you refering to? I guess you should do some research first and see whether someone has done this before and where did they get money from. Starting charity by yourself if you do not know anyone is quite challenging.
