But looking at all the hue and cry about immigrants, I think why go to a place where you are disliked by the natives? Id rather stick to my country where I get respect.

Don´t be discouraged. The real natives are the so-called Indian people. The complaints come mostly from the Right Wingers. Besides all this The U. S. is God´s land not one specific race or nationality. Go for your dreams and come !

America was built on immigration. The problem is that that immigration policy was set when work and land was plentiful. Right now internationally based companies have lobbied for freer immigration as a device to lower labor costs in America. This has been the cause of some resentment in American workers that are being squeezed by this policy. No one likes "scab" workers

The real unaddressed issue is why do you want to leave your country? I suspect it is for one of two reasons:

1) There is no work there
2) There is no freedom there

What you really need to do is get you buddies together and address these problems in your own country so that you can be satisfied living there.

If you look at the American Revolution it is based on a document called the Declaration of Independence. It is an extremely radical notion for its time and even today. What it says basically is That if a government no longer serves the people's interests, they have a god (allah?) given right to abolish it. Does this give you any ideas?

Your views are shared with others that are seeking to immigrate some where. My brother volunteers in Brazil doing immigration law, alot of people don't want to come here for the same reason you stated, but they immigrate elsewhere. There are also concerns regarding our current status in war. And just to clarify its not really just the Natives its the other U.S. citizens too.

It really doesn't matter you live in to earn not (get) respect.
To earn respect one must follow the rules/laws of that country
you wish to live in such as coming in legally, working for a living
a paying taxes.

You did not say where you would be coming from, but let me
tell you the America is the best Country in the world, with loads
of compassion for those that earn it and we definitely respect those
that deserve respect.

What you hear is exaggerated. Of course, some of the natives may not be as welcoming to immigrants as others, but if you are able to integrate into American society, then you will see why America is the "land of opportunity."

If everything is going well for you there. You are able to pay bills, live a care free life and are successful in what you do(work). I would stay there. ALot of people i know moved here, left luxurious lives, gave up all they had. But still haven't really done anything with their lives.

America is the best country in the world!!!
Americans are the best people in the world!!!
Americans have brought freedom to countries like France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Irak, Afganistan (remember than in Afganistan women were not allowed to walk the streets, to go to school, and they used to be beaten all the time), Kuwait, and the lists goes on, and on. Do you know how many American lives have been lost in this process?
America deserves more respect than what it really gets, thanks to liberals like Cindy Shehan, and friends.

America is full of immigrants and the land of opportunity. File the paperwork and do it the legal way.

There is no hue and cry about legal immigrants, just those who ignore our quotas, ruin our schools and drain our services.

If you come legally you will get respect. If you planned to come illegally, you are right. Then, you should stay where you are.
