The Sabbath law is part of the 10 Commandments (4th Commandment) and was to be observed by Gods people from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday.
It was to be a joyful day of worship and focus on God, and God asked his people not to work during the day.
You ask a very good question and one which you can do many indepth studies on.
In short, the Sabbath is still relevant to us today and to be observed as a religious day of rest from Fri sunset to Sat sunset. It has never been changed in the Bible to Sunday and has never been done away with by Jesus coming - in fact Jesus observed the Sabbath perfectly and asked others to do so.
Breaking the Sabbath would involve working and not taking part in the spirit of the day.
