You're a picky eater. I've had ox tail soup, beef tongue and heart, all quite good. By the way, all are muscles. And pig's stomach stuffed and roasted with potato and sausage. The stomach is also a muscle. You may not like liver, but a lot of people do. The biggest problem with liver is that most people overcook it, and the second biggest is that it's high in cholesterol. I have my own limits, too. Never had kidney, lung, penis or testicles, but I'd try it if that's what was for dinner. I happen to think that part of being a well-rounded carnivore is to not disdain what the animal has given us.
By the way, I just read that someone ate a record 184 chicken wings. All I can think of now is 92 armless chickens running around in the yard. We don't need to eat wings, do we? It isn't like we have to scavenge every last bit of meat off the bird to stay alive.
Would you eat milk curdled with the enzymes from calves' stomachs and set aside to age? What do you think cheese is?

No they are not, as some offal contains more nutrition than the actual meat. Offal is full of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, its just like some vegetables give you more nutrients if you leave the skin on. If you can bare to eat offal which can be spiced up it is good for you, certain people at different stages in life may find it beneficial such as the elderly others may find it detrimental such as pregnant women. By the way what do you think stock cubes are made out of?

Are people who eat animal's muscles off THEIR rockers?
There is NO logical reason to believe it makes more sense to eat a cow's buttocks ("flank steak") than to eat its kidneys or liver! And, in fact, I'd wager you already eat plenty of the "offal" you think you have a problem with...ever eat a sausage or a hot dog or pepperoni or salami? What exactly did you think IT was made of? LOL!

I like nothing more than lambs liver on a Saturday afternoon. Skewer them up and cook them on the hob of the oven. It's just like back home.
Doesn't matter about 21st century and all that, it's in some people's culture you know!
Don't get me started on 'kalepacheh' either. It would make your stomach churn. Sheep's head.

Nowt wrong with a steak and kidney pie. I draw the line at tripe and all that sh*t though. I think, apart from kidney and liver, it is a dying trend here in the UK anyway. In Spain though, offal is very popular with most people.

Chitterlins (pig intestines) are still a firm favourite. Brawn is made from brain, blackpudding is made from pigs blood, haggis made from lungs and heart etc. Aspic jelly is made from pigs trotters which are also a favourite. The list goes on, it's not just eaten in older days, it's still very much in vogue.
And remember pork scratchings are only the skin of pigs.

Food is food and offal is full of iron. Lots of people are too poor (or too tight) to pay for more tastier cuts of mean.
